Losing $80K in one hour
How can I lose $80K in one hour? Playing $200-400 PLO heads-up at FullTilt should explain the obvious. Then add David Benyamin to the mix and I had my hands full. Heads-up poker is completely different than multi-player action. And when it’s for high limit, it gets really wild, very fast.
At times the deck can run over one player and leave the other out on the street looking for their bike. I wanted to send David out looking for his bike but it didn’t work out that way. It’s hard to even look back, at times, and know if you’re playing very bad or very good, when you’re playing heads-up. The best part of the whole thing, for me, is that I know that I will play again. And each time I play, I don’t look back on the last time I played, I move ahead to the next game. There will be more videos.

the video doesnt work past 5:36

Im not able not able to watch it all, it cuts off between minute 5 and 6.
Being loose agressive in the truest sense you are chasing down pots in spots when you dont have the cards to take it down. That might be more true in PLO than NLH.
I think david plays better, from the five minutes ive seen so far. Dont chase ghosts. Playing LAA(Loose-aggressive-aggressive, Maniac, my term) in PLO is very lucrative and also very dangerous. You prove this fact. Thats why i love your clips. They are educational in a sense no book could ever be. Against the right opponent you would literally ruin him. Against the wrong opponent you would be ruined.
I must confess, ive never seen you and David play. Im not a railbird, nor will i ever be. But being more(read slightly more) selective against David would prove more beneficial in my oppinion. Why? You dont run over David. His experience on a PLO HU table prevents that on any occasion but running bad. Its like beating a completely loose passive table in NLH full ring by being ultra aggressive. It wont work unless the timeing is right.
And im in no position to lecture you either
Be well Tony and please let the most educational source of poker continue. I love your vids

Almost hit my head jumping when I saw this, but was quickly disappointed when I heard (or rather didn’t hear) the commentary…
I’d love a "fixed" version of this, it’s worth it for your accent alone! ;-D Nevermind the commentary itself!
Take " evythin’ " Tony!

WOW now that was real agressive. I always try and change gears all the time to mix things up and confuse my opponents. But cant really talk as blew my bankroll last week on a cash table in Vienna. I got sucked too many times that I dont want to play for a while to cool off.
best of luck buddy and leave your bike at home!!

hey tony if ur not sure that u have the winning make a small bet so u know what is going on if u check u have no information and u ll always have tuff calls to make and dont bluff the flop that much either u ll lose on the long run especially flops where u have no draws
October 7th, 2007 at 10:50 pm
in omaha the most important thing is to not let draws for free cuz there s a lot more luck involved with 4 cards than 2 cards if ur sure to have the wining hand on the TURN dont half the pot bet the pot and most of the time he wont have the odds to call u if he calls that means or he s trapping or he has straight + flush draw…
on the flop u shouldnt bet the pot cuz if a guy draws he ll call anyway just make a decent bet ( 2/3 ) if nothing comes to help a draw depending on the flop make a big bet on the turn but u have to be careful some plays sets like they have a draw and u can lose big
i dont know how u play on standard tables but u have to be very careful and fold most of the drawing hands cuz flushs and straights with low cards are the most dangerous situations of the game
