There was a good very good chance for me to make the final table and win a bracelet, unfortunately when we were down to 10 handed I picked up A-J on the cut off.

A-8 raised, I moved all in for about 320,000.  I was ahead at the time and the guy with A-8 decided to call. The pot was great, there was about 700,000 in the pot.   If I could win that pot I would make it to the last six and unfortunately on the turn the eight popped out and I was out of the tournament.  Pretty unlucky but I played good and I was really focused but I just couldn’t go any further this time than 10th.   But still $58,000 is not bad and it will keep me off the streets for a while and it’s a nice pickup.

The main thing is I’m playing well, but I can’t control the results, I can’t control the cards but I’m enjoying it, I’m enjoying it much more.

Today is a great day.  It’s the 10,000 PLO.  I have some great players on my table, Sammy Farha, Phil Laak, it’s very interesting, the play today, and I’m enjoying it.  I’m up to 30,000 already after the first two hours of play so I’m right up there, well above average, feeling comfortable; it’s my favorite game.  I’m very confident in this game and once I was lucky enough to win the world championship of Omaha pot limit heads up.  It was about five years ago when I crushed the Devilfish.  It’s my favorite game and I enjoy it, which is really important, so I’m really focused and playing well and hope to get really deep in this tournament because it’s so exciting.

These tournaments are just so much fun when you get deep.  Especially with six handed no limit; it’s just fantastic, everyone plays well, and it’s great competition.  That’s what you live for as a poker player to get into those positions and situations…you can’t control the game, you can’t control the outcome, all you can do is your best every time.  That’s what you have got to do, is just play your best and not worry about the results.

So I’m checking out, I’ll update again in relation to the Omaha Pot Limit but after this we’ve got the Deuce to 7 no limit with rebuys, probably going to be an expensive tournament for me, and then the main event.  That’s all I have coming up.  I’m checking out…bye.
