WSOP BORING?
That is how I feel. The fun has been squeezed out and it’s a grind here.
I don’t think the WSOP is for me but I will plug away and this will likely be my final year of the WSOP, Why play something that you don’t enjoy? The organizers do not care about the players. I think that’s pretty clear, especially to me - it’s clear enough that they are out there to squeeze the max out of everyone.
I now believe that the structures are purposely so bad because they want to kill the limit games, like the 50k HORSE. We will not lose any players during day one and we will lose 70% of the field during day 2. I’m not sure why it can’t be more flat but I guess it just can’t be. A lot has been said and it’s a general cry from 90% of the top players yet nothing has been done at all. It’s pretty sick.
My play has not been that great. I played the 6 handed 2.5K NLH yesterday and got up to 10k in starting chips but lost a crucial race with A-Q vs. my opponents 5-5 and was GONE (on your bike I was).
So no luck and no fun, but I am hopeful things will get better. I play the heads up 5k today and this is the first time – ever – the WSOP will host this event so it will be interesting to see how it goes.
The WSOP directors can still fix the blinds fiasco and make the players happy. It will be interesting to see if they do fix it and if somebody ever puts their hand up to say ‘Hey this is my fault, I am sorry’.

Hi Tony G.
Just wondering if you were amongst the players committee that helped with trying to improve this years WSOP. I know Daniel Negraneau was one of them. Anyway sounds like there input only appeared to include more events other than NoLimit. I figured they would have done something to improve the blind structure. I GUESS NOT MAYBE NEXT YEAR!

Hi Tony. I was led to believe that the WSOP events were the pinnacle of this great sport. Why can’t the organisers get things right?
