After a day off I was ready for some action and after arriving about 30 minutes late to the event, my start was on an outside table.  My table was to be broken in about 30 min but I got a good start and built up to 15k by the time I was moved.  I was seated right beside Jamie Gold, the current champ, and it was fun to play on his right and I just plugged away early on with my stack going from 8k to 20k. Jamie was a little frustrated and things did not run well for him and he busted out early.

I was just strolling for the first 6 levels.  After level five I got moved again.  This time to Phil Ivey’s table and he went quickly too.  

I just struggled with 20k or so and later dipped down to 12k before catching six outers in two pots in a row to stay alive.   It was my lucky day.  I had to beat 8-8 with A-K with an A on the river to give a hard time to Unabomber.  Then I had to catch a Q on the river against 6-6 I held A-Q that hand. It was table 123 my lucky number and it felt really good.  

By the time that table was broken I had 40k and went to Kathy Liebert’s table feeling good.  Straight away I picked up A-3 and Kathy raised early.  I called on my big blind and the flop was BINGO A-A-3 (hello). I check raised on the flop, checked the turn, she checked also.   On the river I moved all-in for 30k more.  She called and was on complete Tilt after that hand.  She was UPSET.  She is a great player and I can understand her feelings.  We had a few words back and forth but things settled down and I was very ‘raise-raise’ trying to take control.  But I could not.  I ran into some bad luck as my J-J ran into Q-10 and some reraises that I had to let go.  

I ended up with 60k, the average is about 80k but I feel I can do it and this is my 3rd second day in just four attempts so I am in good form and would love to make the final table
