I have a great time when I play poker. And I’m known as a ‘trash talker’ by many, that is part of my game. I use my mouth as well as my poker skills to win when I’m in a competition. I’m really a soft spoken, warm hearted individual and never hold any malice or spite for anyone. Even though I’m happy to bust you out of a tournament, I’m genuinely sorry that you went broke and had to leave. Perhaps that doesn’t make sense to you but that’s how I feel about the play of the game. Because once you are out, you have to leave and wait for the next tournament. I hate waiting for the next tournament and I believe that you do too.
For those of you that play against me, and know me, you are completely prepared to play against me, and my mouth, when we end up at the same table. For those that have never faced off against me before, I hope you find the following links to be entertaining, because that’s how I view them. I laugh at myself when I watch them. Enjoy!

I think your over-all a great poker player, although its very hard to enjoy poker when I hear you trash talking every second of the game. For the futre try to tame your tounge during poker.

Tony’s trash talk is the best thing about poker. Its so boring when players just sit and play their hands and never speak, tony brings so much Life to poker its great fun to watch. Keep it up Mr G

Whether you do it on purpose or not, no one out there trash talks like you do… you are really one-of-a-kind out there in the poker world amongst professionals, and to be completely honest, I think you are brilliant in doing so. You gain attention, make a name for yourself, and you probably get a hardcore following (my friends and I love you). I watch the youtube videos every day. Please keep them coming, and keep up your magnificant play in tourneys to come!

iam fairly new to poker and only play for play money on sites or with friends but i was laughing as i thought king jack was a strong hand lol i would love to one day be able to be as good as you and i like the way u could have a 2 and a 5 and your opponent could have pocket aces and u can make them believe that u had the better hand thats a a skill keep up the good work

I am gald that you can have some fun with my phrases, and I am sure there are more to come out of the magic box in 2007. Right now I am on a break, taking it easy. But I did go to my local casino (Crown, Melb. Australia) Last night and took on the local talent. The 2005 World Champ, Joe Hachem, was there as well so it was a preassure cooker game for the locals. 50-100 Pot Limit Holdem & Omaha. At the end of the day I cleaned them all up and the game broke so I am still in good form and 140k better off as well.
Some phrases that are not there could be:
Date with an eight.
This is a good one that I made up just last night:
\”Your name was Baden, after this hand with me you will be called BABY.\” This guy I ripped apart. He said he is soon ready to play 200-400 NL with me - SHOW ME THE MONEY, BABY.
The butcher of baghdad I call the K when it hits the river and it is a red one hurting one of my opponents.

Im glad to see youre doing well in the ring games! When you play the 50-100 Omaha game, is it always strictly High only, or do you also like to play hi-lo. I imagine that the casino would rarely spread a hi-lo game of that stake, but I was just curious as to which omaha you prefer. Im sure there was quite a crowd on the rail with both you and Mr. Hachem there. How was he at the table?
Also, what kind of read did you have on Mr. Perry? The call you made against him on the IPC, when he held j-7 spades, and you held ace-3 diamond, was out of this world, true Tony G. poker!!! I almost fell outta my chair at the quickness in which you called, VERY good call. BRING ON MORE RUSSIANS!!! haha. I hadnt seen much of Mr. Perry since the 2002 WSOP, untill the
Intercontinental championship.

I am friends with Omar and I can vouch for what he was telling you. We love to use your lines when playing, it just makes the environment that much more enjoyable. One of my personal favorites is your reparte with Surinder Sunar.

Getting under his skin so much he pushed you all-in with nothing was hilarious.That line was the start for me and I still to this day say that when we get together to play. Another favorite of mine is your exchange with Ralph Perry.

Tony, I’m super impressed at your game and your tactics, people at Crown (Melb, AUS) say that you are actually very quiet during normal cashie games and that you only ‘trash talk’ during tourneys, is this true? Also I’m wondering whether things have gotten much much more heated after an event/tourney, have people tried to knock you out?

Tony, I really respect your play and your trash talking doesnt bother me either if it’s done without malice, which I believe it wasn’t between us tonite. I find you entertaining at the games on tv, you’re one of the people that make watching more enjoyable. You know odds much better though, in fact I go less by them than I do by gut feelings and instinct. You’re a pro, I’m not so you would know more about it, youve a vested interest in studying these things…but all I know is…I had you beat preflop and flop in two hands, you were dead wrong …aces beats kings anytime and while we both had good hands, minewerefarbetter! lol…no harm done and all is forgiven lol..go win, tomorow!
