Poker is HUGE here! An amazing field came for this event. There are 500 players - with 500 being turned away.  There are a lot of local Asian players in this mix. It’s hard to describe the excitement and charisma that starts to build when an event is getting ready to kick off. I’m ready to play!

Within the next month, Macau will open poker and then The Singapore Casino, but right now we are playing in a hotel.

Everyone had to register, with the police here, two weeks before arriving to play the event. It’s amazing how many people flew in from all over the world, only to hear the bad news that they might miss out on playing because they did not register in time. The big names here are Gus Hansen, John Phan, Liz Lieu, and Mel Judah.

Believe it or not, you can get odds with Betfair on the big name players and the tournament. I am the favorite in their picks. And it really is bad value for sure with such a big field.

I played two satellites and got very close in both. I had some bad luck but played in very good form and I’m ready, prepared and ready, for the main event tomorrow.

It is really exciting to be here in Singapore when poker in Asia is just getting ready to explode. The big boys are also sniffing around. PokerStars is pretty sick for missing the boat. And so is PartyPoker but I hear they will both be here soon. Betfair.com Sport Exchange is in the market for winning.
