Poker for Charity in Lithuania
I Played a poker tournament in Lithuania last night it was the Lithuanian Open Poker Championship main event. 30 players turned up from mainly Scandic countries to play the buy in was aprx USD $1000
Starting stack was 10,000 chips and good structure a good event and it was fun for me I was playing for a Lithuanian Charity called (bedu turgus) in English it would be (problem market) Since the first place prize money could not motivate me aprox USD $10,000 I could find motivation by playing for this charity which I really like. The great thing about this charity is that they help people out and show it all on TV so you actually see where your money goes. The show is run by a famous TV personality from Lithuania E. Mildažytė when I called her up today to tell her the good news she was shocked and very happy so I am having a great day here today. Here is a ink to see the photo of this program I see that they dont even have a website I guess I am going to have to make them one.
The very very great news is that after a long fight I was able to win this tournament and am now the Lithuanian Poker Champion and will present the charity with $10,000 I know its very little money but I feel real good about it and I know it helps this program lots.
On another note Johnny Lodden has come over from Norway with his friend Sondre & his lovely girlfriend to visit me and I Will help him to set up a blog just like this one, Now this kid is special he stared playing poker for play money then small limits and now is the biggest player online more about him in a day or so but it will be fun to hang out with this young man reminds me of me when I was 21 if you see my photo from when I was 21 in the gallery its good to be 21 and the perhaps the best online poker player in the world. Anyhow I will write here about what I think of Johnny after I spend some time with him I know that he smashes lap tops when he loses a lot and I also know that he lost more then 1 million on Prima Poke to one player in the last few days 500k of that was lost in Heathrow airport on the way back from Vegas cool stop over to change flights drop $500,000 but he has won masses and swings like this a normal when you play $200-$400 no limit heads up.

Wow, this kid sounds insane. It will be good to read his blog and find out what it takes to win millions playing on-line poker.
By the way, Tony, I was watching a poker tournament on channel 5 here in Britain a few nights ago, in which you won at a table that included Roy ‘The Boy’ Brindley and David Gregory. I think channel 5 love you because the girl that introduces each part of the show was calling you an “unstoppable force of nature” and asking if anyone at the table would be able to stop you. Jesse May and Kenna James were also loving it, and admiring your bullish play.
Anyway, there was one hand where you had K10, and you called a re-raise from David Gregory. The flop was 5AQ(I wrote it down) and you went all-in. Gregory flipped over AQ, and so you were drawing very thin. The turn was a King and the river was a Jack, giving you your straight! It was amazing, especially as I’ve seen David Gregory go out to bad beats on numerous occassions on TV. He was totally gutted after the game, and said, “I don’t know what it is- whenever I’m on TV this just keeps happening to me. I must be the unluckiest man alive.”
Classic Tony G TV action.

I was VERY pleased reading this blog entry. It is very nice of you playing for charity, and it doesn’t matter how big charity is. The most important fact is that somebody actually cares. By the way, 10K USD is not little money. They can make lots of happy people, I believe.
I sincerely admire your actions. Good luck!

What sup tony! Tx for listening to your players and putting in some 2/4 and 3/6 tables. Now all we need is a BIG GURANTEED tourney, don’t you think? By the way you were playing last nite 50-5 rebuy tourney. And we were chatting back and forth, and I said something about having a bounty on your head. And u replied with some smartass remark (what a surprise eh??hehe) that u need to win more tourneys to continue having a bounty on your head..lol.. and then you said something that I was a nice guy and you also appreciated me playing at your site a lot.. and that you sent me 100 bucks.. were you just messing with me? If you were that’s cool, I wasn’t really expecting it, just asking since I never received the funds. Either the case am glad you associated yourself with gamesgrid; before you came by, the site was dead no games were going, tournaments were very sad, and the software needed mass improvement. But now theirs some pretty good guaranteed tournaments, traffic is improving, and the site looks promising. Hope to c you at the tables soon, you’re a lot fun to play poker with

Hey Tony,
We’re gunning for the Hendon Mob at the forthcoming London EPT. Maybe you can stake us in the £200 Side Event- we’re all very good players, our best player ranked above all the mob- and we’ll take the Mobsters down,
We love to take the Mobsters out!
