Party Poker Millions - Semi Finals
I am through to the final tomorrow in a fairly uneventful day of poker. Tony Bloom, who is a super European player was the early chip leader, and I took a bit of chips from him on a bluff, and he didn’t seem the same from then on. I was chirping, but nothing too bad, and got him to lay down the better hand. Tony eventually called an all in with K7, and Liam Flood had A5. Tony got his King on the flop, but an Ace came on the turn, and Tony was out. This left myself, and Liam with about 500,000 of the 600,000 chips in play. One American Internet qualifier is left with us also.
I was struggling early at about 70,000, and I was able to pick up a few hands and after I took a pot off of Tony I was the chip leader, and never looked back. I took a pot when I went all in after the young American made a move from the button. He laid it down, and then I was up to something like 240,000.
At one point after picking up Aces in the big blind I had almost 500,000 of the 600,000 chips in play, but then lost three pots where I was ahead in the hand, and came back down to earth. Liam is the chip leader with 269,000, I have 264,000, and the American has the rest, 60,000 or so.
They play the other semifinal heat tomorrow morning, and then we play the finals tomorrow night. First prize is $ 400,000, and this has been a nice warm up for Bellagio. I will try to write again tomorrow, but if not I will be in Las Vegas late Sunday.

I failed again to win just was not good enough on this day. Key hand was the last one I held QQ vs A4 (300,000 pot total chips 1.2mil)of Lee Nelson who won the tournament and picked up a cool $400,000 we go back all the way to Australia he is from New Zealand and was by far the best player today.
I am now at the Bellagio and look forward in playing well and behaving nicley here.
Best of luck to all

Tone.. C’mon buddy. Atleast gimme a name better than some “American” I did infact come back to beat you from a “8-1″ longshot. In all fairness, you internet peoples should know it was the T-bone wou later knocked me out at the final table.
Anyway, jokes aside. You’re lots of a fun to play with, and anyone who says otherwise is a tool. Sorry to hear about the rest of the party poker game. Best of luck at the Bellagio. Hope to see you at another final table.

Tony, I enjoy watching your play at WPT final tables. If everyone behaved the same it would be a bore to watch. I find your strategy to upset or anger your opponents interesting. As long as what you do is permitted, then use them to your advantage. No one says that they can’t ride you a little bit too. Its their choice not to. Good luck and hope to see you at a final table again soon.

Hey Tony, keep up the trash talk, it puts your opponents off. Greatest player I have seen and well done on the partpoker, those pocket queens should never have lost

Ok Tony, all the lads here are impressed with your style of play. Don’t shut up, it works for u and entertains us.
Unlucky at partypoker, those pocket queens should never have lost. I would kill for 4th place but you deserved more.

Thanks a lot everyone. I hope that the show was fun. It was a lot of fun to play and get that far in this event, I hope to be back to one of my favorite places in the world (UK) real soon and do even better next time.

I watched Tony G for the first time in a televised Poker tournament on channel 4 in the UK. The guy from New Zealand won and Tony got to the final table but didn’t do so great there. I was rooting for him though because he was totally insane and funny as hell! I was smoking a dooby and just killing myself laughing at G’s wise-cracking. Jesus it was great. Keep it up Tony- you’re my favourite Poker player by a mile. You and John Shipley. And I only like him because he’s like a total vulcan the way he controls his emotions.
